This was an entertaining read. Storm's Heart is the second book in the Elder Races series by Thea Harrison. 

Tiago Black Eagle is a Wyr warrior, a god of storms. He's able to wield thunder and lightning, and he's ruled the skies for centuries. He has been denying his attraction to Tricks since he first saw her. Now, with Tricks being the heir to the Dark Fae throne and facing threats to her life because her evil uncle was killed, Tiago must protect Tricks. 

Thistle "Tricks" Periwinkle is the heir to the Dark Fae throne. When her murderous uncle ruled the Dark Fae, Tricks found sanctuary with the Wyr in New York. Her ethereal beauty and sparkling personality won the hearts of the public, but after he uncle's death, there are those that want her dead. After she was almost assassinated in Chicago, Tricks is on the run. But she didn't expect the one warrior she desires to drop everything and come to her rescue.

Soon Tiago & Tricks must work together so that Tricks can rule the Dark Fae and fall prey to the stormy hunger between them. 

Tiago was an awesome character. He's powerful, he can fly, and he controls lightning & thunder! When Tiago's angry, lightning literally strikes on a clear day. Tricks definitely brings the warrior to his knees. She's funny and she can stand on her own against the god of storms who has lived for centuries. After years and years filled with Tiago ignoring her, now Tricks has to deal with being prey to the god of storms. 

First book in the series: Dragon Bound. Third is Serpent's Kiss. Fourth is Oracle's Moon.
