Taking Shots by Toni Aleo

This is the first book in the Assassins series (Assassins is the name of the hockey team).
Eleanor “Elli” Fisher never thought she was good enough because of her weight. She was abused by her ex boyfriend. She’s a photographer, and she was a living a lonely and depressed life until she was asked to do a promotional shoot for the NHL team. Then she meets Shea Adler…
Shea Adler is the team captain of the Assassins. He was tired of living outside of the rink. He was tired of the girls, wasting money, drinking, and everything. When he meets Elli at the photo shoot, he can’t stop looking at her. She’s feisty, witty, shy, and simply gorgeous.  He had to have her.
Elli doesn’t believe Shea, but Shea knows they were meant to be together. He needed her in his life, but Elli doesn’t understand what he sees in her. Now, Shea must convince Elli that he loves her and that they need each other.
